Is Salesforce the world’s best customer-relationship-management (CRM) platform? We think it’s a pretty convincing argument that they have been ranked by Gartner as the #1 CRM for the 8th year in a row.
So let’s get down to the who, what and why you should be using Salesforce for your company.
Who (and What) Exactly is Salesforce?
Salesforce is an integrated CRM platform that unites your marketing, sales, commerce, service, and IT teams. In Salesforce’s own words, their goal is simple:
“Improve business relationships to grow your business. A CRM system helps companies stay connected to customers, streamline processes, and improve profitability.”
Salesforce makes it easier to manage your external business interactions and relationships, while storing your data in a central location. For the visual learners, take a look at an example Salesforce dashboard:
Salesforce can benefit everyone in your business; especially in the areas of sales, marketing, customer service, and IT. In fact, we have been using Salesforce for over 10 years now. Salesforce is constantly on the move (especially with the introduction of Pardot) and that’s why we have gone all-in with Salesforce.
So, What’s Pardot Then?
Pardot is Salesforce’s B2B marketing automation. As part of Salesforce’s Marketing Platforms, Pardot helps organizations track and measure the effectiveness of their email communications, gain insight into user behavior, and personalize content across campaigns. Essentially, it’s a lead generator and nurturer.
In case you aren’t familiar with marketing automation, it enables businesses to track customer data and deliver automated engagements across the web, email, social, and sales channels based on those customer insights. This allows marketing teams to set up campaigns to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time.
We love Pardot for it’s robustness and personalization. Take a look at these Automation rules you are able to set up when sending out a campaign:
It’s no wonder that Pardot customers have seen sales revenue increase by 34% and marketing effectiveness increase by 37%!
Introduce the Newest Player, Slack
And if Salesforce couldn’t get awesome enough, they acquired Slack in December 2020. We have been using Slack for quite a few years now, and it’s an awesome business communication tool that includes chat rooms organized by topic, private groups, and direct messaging.
If you haven’t used Slack for your business yet, they have a FREE plan – which we highly suggest you check out.
Dreamforce 2021
And for the crème de la crème, we’re happy to announce that there will be a limited, in person, Dreamforce in September 2021 (#DF21). We have been an avid Dreamforce attender for many years, and we are hoping we can claim one of the limited tickets this time around!
Fun Salesforce Fact >>> There is now a Salesforce Tower in San Francisco. And it’s actually the tallest tower in the city!
